I am just about ready for the nut house, lol because if I didn't laugh I would cry. The kids have been crazy with a capital "C". We have even had them outside multiple times a day. I think that is backfiring on us, it seems like the more fresh air they get, the more energy they get. I am not one to wish winter away, but a good warm-up would be nice. With it being so loud, my brain doesn't think well enough for a "really good post", you know, with a recipe or something like that.

This is the best I have, great blogs to share with you, so really, what can be better than that? Dionna at Code Name: Mama is writing an awesome series on circumcision, if you are going to be having a boy soon you really need to go and check it out. She also has lots of fun ideas to help encourage your toddler or even preschooler to explore. Peaceful Parenting (brought to my attention by Dionna) is an awesome resource for all things. Every time I am there I learn so much new info, that is solid info, not just a bunch of huey. Dr. Joseph Mercola is an ND and his site has invaluable info. I watch a great video the other day on what a hoax the H1N1 scare was and the profit that pharmaceutical companies receive from your US tax dollars. You can basically search his site for anything you are looking for info on and find an answer, or so my experience has so far proven. Happy info hunting, the more you know, the more you are in charge of your health, which is always the best place to be.

~ Jews and the Law Regarding Circumcision ~

This is what Paul had to say in Romans about The Jews and the Law regarding circumcision.

'Circumcision has value if you observe the law, but of you break the law, you have become as though you had not been circumcised. If those who are not circumcised keep the law's requirements, will they not be regarded as though they were circumcised? The one who is not circumcised physically and yet obeys the law will condemn you who, even though you have the written code and circumcision, are a lawbreaker. A man is not a Jew if he is only one outwardly, nor is a circumcision merely outward and physical. No, a man is a Jew if he is one inwardly; and a circumcision is circumcision of the heart, by the Spirit, not by the written code. Such a man's praise is not from men, but from God. Romans 2:25-29
It is also interesting to learn that the traditional circumcision had nothing to do with removing the entire foreskin. A tiny slit was many for a few drops of blood to enter into a covenant with God. In paintings of baby Jesus, he was INTACT. Here is a great link that goes into more detail.

As far as thinking that circumcision is a Christian thing, it is not. By following the old covenant, we are denying the new covenant in Christ and renouncing that he came to save us. It has been clearly stated that there is no medical reason for circumcision and there is no religious reason either, point blank, this does not need to be done. As far as someone saying that they like the look of a circumcise penis, get over yourself. It is your son that has to live with the choice, not you. If he decides that he wants it done after he is 18, that's his choice to make. It is a severe violation of human rights to do this to an innocent baby that has no say in the matter. There is a bill being brought forward in Mass. to make it illegal to practice genital mutilation, lets make our voices heard and make sure that this legislation is brought about in every state. ~ Keeping Our Boys Intact ~

I am the proud mama of three beautiful boys and if I could go back and keep them intacted I would in a heart beat. The main reason given to me was that everyone should look the same, that if dad was circumcised, then baby should too! What idiocy! And I can't believe I fell for such a line, but when you are a new mom you want to do the best for your baby and you think that your doctor is giving you the best information when in reality they know that there is no medical reason to circumcise a baby and yet they do it anyway.
In fact, the US is the only country that regularly practices the barbaric procedure. I read this yesterday and sobbed for about twenty minutes after, not believing what I had done to my boys. I was angry that I had been told such lies, like "it is a quick and painless procedure". My last son was a home birth and he had his done in the clinic, his dad was with him and they still do the procedure the same way, strapping baby down and most clinics use no pain medicines. Even if they do numb the area, it is physically impossible to numb the area where the foreskin is attached to the penis. It makes me sick to my stomach to think about it.
We, as mom's of boys need to stop this barbaric practice that has no medical value and no biblical one either. Even a Jewish baby boy doesn't need to be circumcised. Here is a very moving letter from a Jewish father to his son explaining his decision not to circumcise his son.

Here is the first part of a three part series on circumcision, it is a well written, factual article, that everyone needs to read and past on to all of their friends, whether they have kids or not, we need to stop this practice in the US once and for all. If you are informed, you will never allow this to be done to your son. Again, please pass this on to everyone you know, we have to stop this, it is a brutal assault on a helpless baby that changes something in them forever, I know that I will never be the same now that I know the truth.
